Welcome to e-NOTEI want to first thank you for receiving this email. It means that in some way you have been in contact with one of our team members here at San Diego Copy. You must have made some impression on them to be added to our monthly e-NOTE. In our efforts to build a strong team here at San Diego Copy we are in training every day to improve with each and every job. This idea of training and team work has come about because of the many times our clients have had unique requirements or deadlines which have required us to create, produce and deliver a quality product in a very short amount of time or consistently for a long period of time. We enjoy the challenge, the thrill, and the pressure, just like an athlete in competition. As a part of e-NOTE we will be sharing some of these stories with you. All athletes who desire to improve their abilities know they must train each day. In my effort to continually increase my personal and business knowledge I strive to keep a regular reading schedule, which includes books on business, cycling, US Presidents (my goal is to read a book on each one) and Christianity. As part of e-NOTE we will be bringing you a book review each month; and on special occasions, a young reader edition from my daughter Victoria’s reading collection. In the past few years many clients have asked us for assistance with marketing items for their companies, organization, or social groups. I am glad to say that in the past two years we have been able to help clients with everything from water bottles, shirts, jump drives, awards, and many other items. In e-NOTE we will share a new product item with you each month as well. I want to encourage you to read through each e-NOTE to get new ideas for printed materials, a good book to read, or possibly a new product that you can put your company logo on to improve your marketing efforts. We look forward to your feedback and ideas. Happy reading! Jeff McKinley |

We recently had the privilege of designing and producing a new brochure for WaterWorks, Inc, a growing company headquartered in San Diego. We had produced a standard tri-fold brochure two years ago, but they wanted something totally new and needed the project complete in time for an important upcoming conference. They had just completed a couple of water recapture and purification projects and wanted to illustrate their focus on saving one of our most precious resources - WATER. WaterWorks, Inc supplied San Diego Copy with images and text, and from there we created a 7.5 by 10.75 inch, eight page booklet that shows how a very technical company is helping our environment. We produced the booklet on our new Xerox 700 digital press; using 100% recycled Mohawk Color Copy 80# cover. We pre-cut the paper to ensure proper registration during the bindery process and then did a final trim. You have already read the result above from an email sent to us from Pam Wammes the day after the conference. Thank you Pam and John for working with our team here at San Diego Copy!

This book came to me as a gift, thank you Pastor Bob, and was definitely not on my reading list. I had two or three books already on the shelf waiting to be read. I had no idea who Calvin Miller is, so I just started reading to get an idea of the book, and I was hooked. I enjoy reading biographies and autobiographies to learn how people work through the struggles and joys of life. In the end they usually impact me, and Life is Mostly Edges did just that. Calvin Miller’s story is of a boy who started life in a one bedroom shack in Oklahoma, became a preacher, and ended up a scholar. From the very beginning of the book Miller’s memory of events and places came alive in his wonderfully descriptive story telling. Each story is told with an honesty that brings you right into Miller’s thought process. You will laugh, cry, and think about the events of Miller’s life that parallel your own. It is as if you become a close friend of Miller and he is telling you the personal inside stuff that most of us do not want people to know. Here is an excerpt from the book. “I know there are evangelical writers who say you shouldn’t kiss until you’re married, but they obviously never knew Barbara. Who could wait that long? Not me. It is true that when we kissed I often wondered what lay beyond the kiss, although we never went all the way until we both wore rings that told the world we were legally going all the way.” I really enjoyed Miller’s writing style and his view of the world that shaped his life and how he in turn affected those around him. It is amazing to me that this book was penned in the recent past and that Miller started life with no running water, no electricity, no radio or television, had a good for nothing father and yet ended up touching so many people. I am captivated with the story of his life. The book challenged me to think about my own family. Am I doing the best I can do for them? In many ways we also live our lives mostly on the edges. I believe everyone would get pleasure from reading this wonderful memoir if for no other reason than to enjoy Miller’s story telling, or to grasp the transformation of America for those born before 1945 who are still alive today. It is amazing to me that this book was written in the past couple of years and that Miller started life with no running water, no electricity, no radio or television and a good for nothing father and yet could end up captivating me with the story of his life. |

When Tinkerbelle went back to Pixie Hollow after the adventure with Wendy she loved being a fairy. She is the most talented pots-and-pans fairy there is. What happens when Tink loses her hammer? Tink fixes, makes, and creates pots and pans for other fairies. They all depend on her. Tink ends up losing her hammer and she disappoints every one. Will Tink be able to fix the pans or ruin the rest of her talent? You will have to read the book to find out. In the meantime, I will give you something to think about. Tink has a substitute hammer! But she left it at Peter Pans hideout. So now she doesn’t have anything to fix the pots with. This is a great book for Disney fans to read about what happens after Peter Pan. You will get to see Tinkerbelle’s side of the story. I think it is a great book. |
